The CNN terrorism expert said in big events like this there are draw downs, so the time of the attack might be relevant. The biggest crowds were in the lead up to midnight, and just after midnight. By 3 am they'd have been drawing down security as he crowds dwindled. So, maybe assets were moved?

Besides, it's a server side issue. I'm sure you can replicate it by opening a private browser tab, searching, and then scrolling. The browser isn't generating that error message.
That happened a long time ago. It's gone past the point of being dumb and entered into "So dumb that it feels like something is missing if it doesn't happen". Kind of like a million people standing outside in miserable weather for 12 hours to watch a lit up ball drop 50 feet in a minute at midnight on New Year's Eve.

Scheduling an upgrade when you’re expecting massive crowds for NY’s and the CFP is a questionable decision if true.
I don’t buy not having vehicles available to at least have a makeshift barrier. As for the upgrades possible they could have been scheduled to be done earlier. But had delays for whatever reason.
