Bowl game opponent

sort of seems like Tampa bowl would prefer Michigan over us (more TV eyeballs) but I do not know. it also seems like the Music City would prefer somebody besides us because we were just there, so it may well fall to the Duke's Mayo. I just hope it is a team we can beat.
Seems like more Iowa fans would go versus Mich fans traveling there. If it is about tourist dollars.

And a training camp Steeler.

Ed O’Neill was a tough one growing up. There’s a great Fly on the Wall Podcast episode with him being interviewed by Dana Carvey and David Spade. Funny and interesting.

"IOWA CITY — When Iowa football learns its postseason bowl destination on Sunday, it will be in relatively rare company.

It will be the Hawkeyes’ 12th consecutive bowl invitation — tied for the fifth-longest streak in college football. The only teams with longer active streaks are Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama and Clemson. (Wisconsin had a longer streak, but the Badgers finished this season with a 5-7 record.)

As for which bowl selects the Hawkeyes, the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Fla., and the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn., appear to be the two most likely options."

I like Tampa because I lived there - I taught elementary PE in St. Pete and had to drive across the long bridge twice a day. We had snow flurries one day which suprised me. I won two races at McDill Air Force base - a 5 mile run and 2 weeks later a 10 mile race.

My daughter graduated from the U. of Iowa and was in the Hawkeye marching band. They had fun at the beach with the Iowa football team.

how did this topic get derailed into a married with children thread, also I thought al bundy only scored 4 TDs in a game

The 2009 Outback Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 2009, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The 23rd edition of the Outback Bowl, it was one of the 2008–09 bowl games concluding the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Scheduled for a kickoff of 11 a.m. EST and telecast on ESPN, the game pitted the South Carolina Gamecocks against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa jumped out to a large lead, leading South Carolina 21–0 at halftime and 31–0 at the end of the third quarter, en route to a 31–10 victory. Shonn Greene, the MVP, had 29 rushes for 121 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Stanzi was the quarterback. Wish we had him back to throw touchdowns on 2 consecutive plays - Against Indiana - also had 5 interceptions in that game which we won. WOW

I’ll take Nashville and take the family again. It’s never bad in Nashville.

Do we match up with Big 12 in any bowls?
