Brad Banks 2002 Highlight Video

What a dynamic dual threat player he was! That was a fun team to watch. One of the things I noticed on the video was how open our receivers were in many of the clips. Seems like CJB always has to thread the needle on his throws. Yeah, CJB can run a little when healthy, but having a true dual threat like Banks really opens things up. Or maybe Mo, CJ and Dallas were just able to get open because of their athleticism.

I remember this too. We've had athletic receivers and te's in other years too so I don't know it's just athleticism. Seems like we just ran simple, effective routes, and executed it really well. We scratched where it itches. KOK had a great year that year. We didn't pass all that much, except for the orange bowl, and we all know how that turned out. I remember Banks going like 10-10 against Minnesota. He also have some other low attempts yet effective games.

Great points. I think it's probably a little of both. No doubt though that CJB would GREATLY benefit from having #8, #9, and #44 to throw to. I really like Vandeberg but I don't think the Hawks get back to Indy next year unless some of the younger receivers really step up.

Northwestern. And Chandler was 3/3. The combined 13/13 set some kind of obscure NCAA efficiency mark. That game was over when NW got on the bus. I don't recall a more certain outcome pregame. Even some early season 1AA games carry that seed of doubt, not knowing what your team is made of. We could have reached triple digits if for some reason we wanted to.
