Brad Davison suspended one game

I’m honestly surprised the conference did anything. Thankfully they did. I argued the stepping on a player should have been 4 games. I think this should be at least two. But he also should have been suspended in the past which would have meant a longer suspension for a repeat offender. Unlike the previous incidents, I guess he shouldn’t have tried to hurt a head coach’s kid. Not going to get away with that one,

Thing is, if he gets caught doing something again, he is probably suspended for the rest of the season.

This was just the conference penalty. No doubt Wisconsin will dole out their own suspensions as well. NOT.

Dick move by B1G.

Should have just issued a public statement: “Brad Davison sucks at basketball.”

Wisconsin views this as a common foul, and given Davidson’s history it’s hard to argue. This program is leaning toward MSU, Penn State, Nebraska status. They’ve got some catching up to do, but stepping up and trying to do what’s right hasn’t been their mode of operation lately.

Imagine the poor guys on the Wisconsin B squad as the starters refine those dirty moves during practice sessions.

If I’m a coach going against wiscy the rest of the season, I’m telling by boys to flop if Davidson does anything.

His after-game interview was astonishing. He acted clueless as to why he was penalized. The interviewer tossed him softballs also.

"Acting clueless" aka lying.

As others have said, the Big 10 has fired the warning shot here. I could have argued for a longer suspension, but it's now on the books for suspending him a game for this trash behavior. Any future nonsense will get him gone for much longer than that.

Refs also don't go as much for his flopping and tendency to take crap charges. Bo Boroski couldn't wait to blow the whistle for a block on Toussaint's and-1 to fuel the comeback in the second half. More of that please.

I saw a video on twitter someone put together and there were multiple "nut punch, leg wraps" on there. There were 3-4 instances of it in the clip along with multiple clips of him sticking his leg out trying to either trip someone or have a rebounder land on his foot. The suspension is well earned.

Wisconson White Boy Suspension Discount.

He's a repeat offender, and on tape multiple times trying to sneak a foot under a rebounding opponent on his landing. That's literally psychotic. He doesn't belong anywhere in the NCAA.

I'm going to continue emailing the BT until they get rid of him.

Have you ever seen a less intimidating looking team in the BIG 10? Between Reuvers, Pritzel and Davison they look like a boy band more than they look like a basketball team. Davison is quite phony because on his social media he preaches all this religious stuff.....then goes out and punches someone in the nut sack. He's a weird dude.

And King left the team yesterday. Sure hate to see all this negativity around Wisconsin. ;)

Takes a lot to leave a team mid-year. NBA guard Tyler Herro who decommitted from Wisconsin before last season (played at Kentucky) said he'd still be at Wisconsin instead of the NBA if he hadn't changed his commitment to Kentucky. Lots of bad press going around for the Badgers right now, hopefully some prospects will see that.

Why are people so surprised he was suspended? He intentionally punched a player in the nuts and the Big Ten had multiple camera angles to prove that. Im surprised it was only one game since they just suspended the Illinois player for 2.

Maybe he did already, but Fran needs to send the conference the tape of Davidson intentionally taking a swipe at JW’s legs as he was shooting a three. That could’ve been a career ending injury and Joe was absolutely pissed as he ran back down the court. Someone needs to stop this clown before he ends someone’s career with a cheap shot.

This is WHY I've posted the Big Ten's media emails, and encouraged people to email them, daily, until he is gone. He's been doing this crap for 2-1/2 years. An Illinois player does something ONCE and gets a 2 game suspension. That is complete bull. And the only explanation I can come up with is the Wisconsin White Kid Discount.

Get 10,000 people email-bombing their offices until they act appropriately and eliminate this kind of dirty play from the league. Make a solid example of Davison, and no one will do this again. Kid needs to lose his scholarship and be banned from BT play.

It’s a moot point since what happened, happened, but I don’t think Davison was intentionally trying to punch Connor in the balls. Think he was trying to hook his leg and draw an offensive foul. Dirty nonetheless

....and possibly injure him, because it literally turned into a tackle.

Dude is psychotic and needs to go.
Keep emailing the BT until it happens. Make them aware that you do not enjoy watching that type of thug basketball. They either need to eliminate it, or start losing fans.

I don’t disagree one bit. However, it’s going to take another incident, since the Big Ten said in their statement that they consider the case closed

Again...that's why people need to keep mailing them. Make it uncomfortable for them.

Not 10 fans. Not 100 fans. 10,000 BT fans. Don't post Twitter opinions; mail them. Destroy their inboxes until they face up to their responsibility to the rest of the BT players that have to face this crap night in and night out. It is simply not fair to those players and should have 0 tolerance.

Is this similar to the Kansas Black Kid discount?

Wrapping your arm around someone's leg is an odd way to draw a foul. I don't recall any player outside of Davison that throws his arm out low while trying to fight through a screen. Very similar to Grayson's odd habit of sticking a foot out to trip opponents. At some point your coach, teammates, or parents have to tell you to knock that foolish bs out as no one is buying it is an accident.

I’m not disagreeing or trying to stand up for Davison... just didn’t look to me like he was intentionally trying to cup check Connor

He was trying to pull his leg to make it appear as if it were an illegal moving screen.
He hooked him so hard, they both tumbled to the court - that's an easy way for someone to end up with a groin pull (injury that has sidelined Isaiah Livers for weeks now).

Coupled with tripping Wieskamp from behind on a 3, and sticking his feet until Jordan Murphy rebounding (and add in numerous other clips of the same behavior) and you have a picture of a kid who is trying to injure others for his team's advantage.

He needs to go. Yesterday. No other BT players should be exposed to intentional injury on the court. Davison blinks wrong, and he needs to get lifted in his next game, if the BT refuses to act on the evidence already available.

Any player injured by Davison should sue the Big Ten, Wisconsin and Davison's family for everything they can get. The kid is psychotic and as dirty as they come. Just because he's white and likes to recite Bible verses isn't a defense.

Outside of Badger fans you’re about the only one who didn’t see it.
I’m fine with that. Davison wrapped his arm around the inside of Connor’s upper leg in a dirty/dangerous attempt to get around the screen, and maybe move Connor’s leg in hopes of drawing a trip/foul. It was complete BS

I genuinely do not see where he balled up a fist and aimed to take a low blow

I agree... seriously am not trying to downplay what he did or has done. Can’t stand the guy one bit

In my opinion what's done is done. That is in the punishment. I think Davison is a total dbag and glad he got suspended finally even if it was one game which by the way is a huge game for them at home vs Sparty. I think Marquette incident was worse and more blatant and should've gotten a game after that. But with it being his 1st suspension it is 1 game so be it. The reason I think it's that is he can claim it wasn't intentional (even though I think that's BS) unlike the Illinois kid stepping on a player or if someone would throw a punch.

You can email all day long don't think it will change anything that has already been done. As much as I can't stand him he doesn't deserved to be banished for that. However least with this suspension the SOB has finally been put on notice. The ? is what do Gard and the Big 10 do if it happens again in the last year and half he has left.

I don't think he would have been suspended if the league didn't see it as a cup check. I'm not sure you'll find many people outside of Madison who will agree with you.

Go Hawks!

His history and I would disagree.

Keep emailing the conference.

Daily.

Before Davison hurts a star player on another BT team.
Who cares if Iowa faces them again or not? Protect the fair competition among our honest competitors and get this trashbag douchebag out of the league.

The more communications they get, the more likely they are to follow through on punishments (or have a very very short fuse if he does anything else).

Two-and-a-half-years is long enough. He hasn't changed. He won't change.
