Brad Underwood showered Evans w/ Praise;ONE Columnist said he had to know what was going on at OK ST

Two things on Underwood:

1. He left OSU because they went incredibly cheap on his contract. I don't think there is anything more to it than that.

2. He was on Bob Huggins' staff at KSU, when they recruited Bill Walker and Michael Beasley. Between OSU and there I would be absolutely blown away if he actually didn't have any idea of funds changing hands.

I actually think Illinois is getting a raw deal. Even if Underwood is able to skirt away from the scandal, he's going to be seen as guilty by association. He's setup to fail with all this dropping

I'm sure it's happening to some extent, but the money to individual players is likely not as high. If you get a couple of elite talents in basketball that makes you immediately good. Football takes much more than 1-2 great players to have a great team.

but look what Cam Newton did for Auburn? That one year rental won them a national championship

Don't know anything about this guy, but hmmmmmmm....

Schools that are likely to be hit next, according to sources: Auburn, Arizona, Alabama - and Illinois' Brad Underwood

end

It was just last night that Underwood's buddy turned himself in.....again, hmmmmmmmm.

Pat on my back (I don't care, after taking crud for it I deserve to brag) for saying LAST SUMMER that Underwood was dirty.

And again, head coaches are CONTROL FREAKS (don't just believe me; read the article I linked in the 2nd post of this thread); in that article, THEY SAY coaches like Underwood HAD TO KNOW....

does anyone (other than a prayerful Illini fan) think Underwood did not know what was going on when he was Head Coach at Ok State?

How is Illinois getting a raw deal? If Underwood was part of this, Illinois can fire him without paying his buyout. That would be firing with cause. Sorry, it's up to the school to do its due diligence before handing out multi-million dollar contracts to coaches.

What's definite is short-term the under ground world of recruiting is being turned upside down. The threat of prosecution and jail time will make many coaches flinch. If Underwood relied on the shady part of this business to get recruits this may hurt his ability to have success doing it the right way?
