Yep - according to many on this Board it's only Fran who has a temper and turns beat red all the time. Next it will be "he never yells at his sons this way." It's tiring how examples are pulled out like he always gets upset whenever there is a foul on Patrick or Connor but not anyone else. Funny how other examples are rarely brought up and people just look for ways to get upset. Human nature I guess to find blame and make wild assumptions when your agenda is not met with success.

I find it funny that this is always the response when another coach acts up. It's like people using "It's colder than normal today" to dispute global warming.
Fran has a temper problem and it has been better. I think he realized that and has worked on it.

Name a coach for me that does not regularly yell at the officials? As far as yelling at his players, Fran is in the bottom half of the Big Ten. He just gets noticed more on here because well, he's the coach at Iowa. Also, give me the name of just one player who has accused Fran of being abusive to him because of his temper? Fran has gone after an official once or twice that is true. Not a bad total for someone who has been in the profession as long as him. I'm not a huge fan of his but I also don't find fault in everything he does.

I will say, since we're comparing coaching freakouts, that Fran's seemingly almost intentional over-exaggerated eye bulge/stare down of the refs during the Wisconsin game..........was probably the funniest f***ing thing I've seen in sports over the last 365 days.

I know. That's why I said he just needs to get it over with and beat the sh** out of the crooked refs. They'll never make a bad call against him ever again..............................................mostly because he'd never be able to coach again, but still....

What a cathartic experience that would be as fans, though.
