Brendan Sullivan will miss the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.

I was thinking about filleting my johnson with an exacto knife and dipping it into a piranha pond rather than watch our dogshit offense. 6-6 and an invitation to the shit bowl coming up.

We are at the point where bowl games are like the NIT in college basketball, especially when you factor in anyone with an NFL future is going to opt out of the bowl.

I was thinking about watching the Black Friday Nebraska game but girlfriend wants to travel to Biloxi that day, so I said forget it.

Maybe I will tune in next year. We’ll see how the offseason goes.
I like the bowl game practices for our backups who will be starters next year. I think if Kaleb is going pro he would be nuts to play in a Dec. 23rd bowl game because with Sully out I dont see us winning the last two games.

We might win those games if Stratton comes in and slings it around because he made some naturally good throws in the rose bowl, a memory he can cherish. He also looked more mobile than Cade which is not a high bar but STratton looked fairly quick.

Will I be really excited to watch a Dec 23rd bowl game, probably not much but I will watch because it is cold in Iowa.

You never keep your word. Maybe 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Bored indifference is being a whiny c***? Lol. Okay, Boomer.

You sound old and miserable not to mention incredibly stupid. Why are people your age so given to projection, because a whiny little bitch seems like a perfect encapsulation of you.

Also, I’m in pretty good shape for 40. Just got weighed at the doctor at 249 last week. Pretty good for 6’6 and still active at the gym. How fit and chiseled are you, Boomer? 😂 I’m sure you’re an absolute beast.
Less than an hour for that to last. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

I miss Iowa people.

I don’t miss the cold.

It’s a shame Brenden is out for the season, but you could see it coming against UCLA. He unnecessarily took some big hits when he should have slid or stepped out of bounds. I still think we can win these last two games, but the defense and running game will have to show up.
Well then Iowa in trouble as defense hasn't shown up all year

Brutal luck for the Hawks in the last stretch of the season. If we go shopping for a QB in the portal that may be the last time we see Sully in a Hawkeye uniform.

If Cade still isn't good to go, then we'll be lucky win even one of the two remaining games.

This season went from disappointment to nightmare quickly.
Maybe just a wee too quick to completely write off Stratton and KJ/the running game, isn't it?

Playing McNamara is about the past. Playing ANYONE else has at least the potential of being about the future.
The fact that Kirk would go with the sunk cost and return to Cade starting is completely in keeping with how he operates.
While I think you're right, he wants to win. To that end, he likely believes Cade gives Iowa the best chance to win. Starting Stratton sends a message that he's not still fully committed to this season any longer. On this point at this point of this season, the fans and the coaches/players have different perspectives - what can we do to win this next game versus what can we do to best prepare ourselves for next year. They're not mutually exclusive, but the priorities aren't the same.

If McNamara's body of work was better, I could see the call on qb1 leaning in his direction. But it's not. He's a multi injured player who is immobile with multiple prior surgeries. His play has been unimpressive when he's actually been on the field, and that's being generous.
Given that, Stratton is not only a nod to a possible future option at QB but also a physically intact player who has shown in a very limited sample that he can move and throw.

I'm not sure, but I doubt the seniors would like the sound of "playing for next year".

Ouch!
That must be the mother of high ankle sprain to be declared out for 3 weeks or is it 2 months including bowl?

We need Cade back.
Stratton was 4th string for a reason.
I love having a mobile QB but we finally get one and he gets knocked out in his 1st start...not fair.
Again, Mobil QBs and dogs that chase cars share a common hazard.
