Not to get too far off topic, but this state track meet was insane. Guys and girls both. Some crazy times dropped the last 3 days. And Doll and his ADM teammates lose by ONE POINT to Western Dubuque in one of the best team races I can remember.
Back to the point, I only went Friday, but Doll looked really powerful. Yeah, the time says he's fast, which he is, but he just looked like someone you wouldn't want to try to tackle on your own in the open field. Excited to see what his career at Iowa looks like.

Still a great state meet for Doll and ADM, but what a crushing way to lose the team title by one point. ADM with Doll on the anchor needed to outscore Western Dubuque by six points in the 4x1 in order to pass WD for the title. WD came in 5th for four points so ADM needed to win it. However, Harlan nipped ADM at the tape for only eight points. Both of them broke the previous state record in the event. Small consolation but still two points short. (Neither team made finals in the 4x4.) An insane weekend all around as you said.

Super bummed I couldn't go this year. Just following the times on Wayyzata timing was awesome. So many special athletes down there. Incredible environment.

Adam Doll played basketball for Osage, didn't he? I don't remember if he played other sports.
Looks more like Tim Dwight to me. Certainly passes the eyeball test. He might be a guy you could plug in and play at 3-4 positions.
I hadn't made that connection until now. My brother played with him at Simpson. He was very physical in the post and a very good rebounder. Also, his high school teammate Jace _____ went to Iowa. I remember playing games with/against him in the Fieldhouse and he won some student 3-point shooting contest at halftime of a game.
