Brian Bobek

I had seen some people on fanatic allude to it. To be fair, it was just a person or two. Most, as you said above, were kind of "meh" about it, and if anything, were excited about just having some extra depth.

Yeah I think it was just a big plus to add some experienced depth to the OL. No risk in it at all and could be some decent reward out of it if he stays healthy. I know they are really high on Good-Jones but I don't think he's ready to be the guy yet. I was always surprised Iowa never offered him but I can't remember if there was a reason for it

Iowa had a really nice OL class that year. Paulson's, Waechter, and James Daniels. Just no room for Good-Jones. Could end up being miss by Iowa?

Just wasn't high on iowas list that year. Iowa brought in 3 o-lineman Walsh, Blythe and juco heir. I'd have to assume Iowa had both Walsh and Blythe higher on the board and when they committed no reason to go after Bobek.

Clone, most don't mind the mind blowing optimism on CF. But when many count a Bobek or Foster a recruiting victory over Iowa, that's pure delusion. You're missing out on some good comedy from there.
I spend too much time online, anyway (you may have noticed). I tried several times to get on CF and they kept screwing up my registration, so I decided it was a sign from the message board gods.

I think one reason people are glad to get Bobek is the concerns many have about the center position. We're starting a redshirt freshman who never played the position in his life until spring practice this year. In the spring game he had a hell of a time snapping the ball. It was not the kind of thing that reassures a fan. Having a veteran who has started numerous games as a center at the P-5 level is a nice thing.

I was talking about Good-Jones, sorry if I didn't clarify
