The first reports I saw were "partial collapse", this video looks way beyond partial to me. Holy shit is right.
1200ft wide span and the ship looked like it just drilled the pillar straight on. Unless there was a complete failure of the ship’s steering systems, that almost seems like it had to be deliberate.
This is not only going to affect traffic, but a ton of shipping cargo in and out
I'm not an architect like Art Vandalay, but that bridge went down pretty easily
It just seems strange that it made it from Singapore to the US and just shits the bed
You can see traffic crossing before it hit…hope there was enough warning that no one was on it when it went down.

It actually appears that the lighting turns on and off several times during the 4 minutes preceding impact.
should’ve been at the direction of the harbor pilot (or whatever you call them). They know those shipping lanes like the back of their hands.

I'm certainly not expert, but if ship lost power, I am not sure there is much they can do.
Video showing power go out. Also there is smoke coming off the ship. Not sure if that was a fire or normal exhaust
They’re searching for seven people and preparing for “mass casualties”. Ugh. 😣
Reports are several cars in the water. Hopefully the plaintiffs will be able to bust limitations

The way it swerved, I don’t know, looked intentional and could be terrorism…
They did save 2 people, those those still there, yeah I agree.
Look at the cars on the bridge in that video. It looks like it collapsed right when the bridge was clear of cars. But one fell in on the right side. Might have been a second one fall in right after that. Can just see a flash of light. Not sure how much further to the right was collapsed.
I mean, wouldn't this bankrupt the shipping company. I can't fathom the cost of rebuilding a 1.6 mile bridge.
I drove over the I-35 bridge in Minneapolis 30 minutes before it collapsed. I'm like a cat, I've used most of my 9 lives.
Very thankful this didn't happen during rush hour.
Actually kind of fortunate if the timing. Thank God it wasn’t rush hour like I believe the Minneapolis I35 collapse was.
