Really want all the guys to do well, but Brent particularly. Love the way he goes about his business.
Yep, tough draw, no doubt. That said, Brent knows he needs to beat the best to be the best. I don't think he or Burroughs really care about who they put in front of them. It wasn't going to be an easy path, regardless of the draw. Plus, if he gets by the Iranian, his path to the gold is that much easier.

I love seeing this. Not surprising coming from you, Johnstown, but very cool to see, nonetheless. I'm sure there are plenty in PA rooting against him, but it's reassuring that there are good eggs out there pulling for him and the rest of Team USA.
Damn tough draw but if anyone can battle through, it's Metcalf! Metcalf's style of wrestling puts him in a position that he can't lose until he's guaranteed a medal match. He wears his opponents out so much that they never seem to wrestle as well the next round and really slims the odds of him getting pulled back in. I'm not in Vegas today but I'll be locked into my computer screen, watching, cheering and even saying a little prayer that Metcalf brings home the gold he has been working so hard for!! Come on Brent, take care of business and get it done buddy!!!

Well if he is against Ramos then he is an idiot. Once they leave college your allegiance should back your countrymen and root for the USA. Has there been a couple guys that made the world or Olympic teams that I was not real fond of? Yeah. Did I root against them? Not a chance!
If I remember correctly, you're kinda new. Probably haven't been exposed to the full Amalone effect yet.

I think the camera angle is misleading. Many of the shots from the Greco matches showed a pretty good crowd. Perhaps UWW will release attendance statistics.
Wow. It looked to me like Metcalf had a fairly easy pushout going in the last 30 seconds and just blew it off. He's lucky he won.
HOLY COW! was that a brawl! That guy from China was strong. Pushed Metcalf to the brink...and now he has to wrestle in another hour? Someone call Money Mayweather to see if he can't loan Metcalf some IV fluids.
