Iowa’s second unit had been making defensive plays in previous games which masked the lack of a knockdown shooter off the bench. You have to stagger the shooting and we didn’t do that in the first half.

He saw that problem, but overreacted in the second. The problem isn’t that Toussaint can’t shoot, the problem is when every one on the court is a suspect shooter.

He also decided to sit Luka for a few minutes up 9 when then was the time to step on the throat and put the game away.

Overall, this was the worst managed game by far in an otherwise very solid year in handling the rotation.

I'm glad they got beat in that fashion. Not for most of the players, but for one entitled boy thinking he's bigger than the team. It's not cute anymore.

We lost horribly to a horrible team. JBo laid a goose egg, Weezy faded, and in the last 12 minutes of the game nobody could buy a bucket. Something isn’t right - maybe the postponed games are taking the team out of its groove but the drive and determination just don’t seem to be at the same level they were a week ago. Hope they can get this fixed.

Honestly, that second half may have been one of the worst stretches of basketball I can ever recall from an Iowa basketball team. Though, admittedly, I tuned out during the Lickliter years.

Connor was about normal 1-4. Weezy dissappeared in 2nd half but he scored his season average in 1st half so statistically not a bad game. That is on him or Fran for not getting him 2nd half looks.

JBo was 0-7 or so...even if he makes 2or 3 of those 3pt shots, the team was in trouble. Garza's normal 62% shooting masks inefficient offense by others. This game he ended up around 50%.

Indiana threw 3 guys at Garza and with not one making open 3s, I guess he didn't have anyone to pass to.

It comes down to Iowa needing either Fredrick or JBO to go off from 3pt line in a tight game like this. Fredrick out, and JBO might as well have not played given the rim had a lid on it. JBo's shots weren't that far off, little bit of bad luck.

Indiana was smart and didn't help off Jbo and so he never got a lot of clean looks. Indiana got lucky the
clean looks he did get he just missed.
