Nothing of great importance here. It is only opinions with a lot of the season to go, but Iowa continues to get good publicity.
There was a fan vote for Coach of the Year so far in the B1G between Ferentz, Harbaugh and Fitzgerald. Ferentz won with 48% of the vote, Harbaugh and Fitzgerald were close with Harbaugh 2nd and Fitzgerald 3rd. There must be a lot of Hawkeye fans voting. Or many are surprised that Ferentz could turn it around (so far) after 5 mediocre seasons.
In Chuck Long's Top 5 Defensive Players so far in the B1G, he had Desmond King #2 and Schobert from Wisconsin #1.
It will be a good weekend for football. Some good games on tap. I figure that the Hawkeyes will be 6-0 after beating Illinois. I am really looking forward to the Michigan/Northwestern game. Will it be a score similar to last weeks Iowa/Wisconsin game? Very interesting game. The winner may be in the Top 10.
