SIAP. With osu losing to Maryland today, Iowa is only a game out of 4th with a winnable game tomorrow should only be .5 out of 4th at the end of the night Monday.

Possible path to the double bye (per the seeding calculator)

Iowa beats NW and Michigan and

Michigan beat MSU & OSU (loses to Iowa)

MSU beats OSU

There are other possible paths like OSU losing to Nebby or Iowa beating Illinois, but those are 1 in a million type odds and not even worth a dumb n dumber gif.

I seriously doubt OSU loses to Nebraska in Columbus, but Nebby is currently really taking it to @PSU right now.

Just shy of a 30-burger on 'em, with just over 9:20 left in the game.

Iowa will beat Illinois in Champaign by double digits.

I would sacrifice an internal organ to see Iowa win that @ILL game - especially by double digits - but they got all the 'intangibles' on their side in this one.

Last home game of the year as well as final regular season game, 'Senior Day', rivarly game they are always up for, they could be fighting for a piece of the title or a higher seed in the BTT, etc.

Iowa has it’s hands full against Michigan and IL. For those that have been watching Iowa struggles against teams with a dominant big/s.

We have exceeded expectations. It’s not impossible to win one of them, but it would have to be a real outlier if it were to occur.

What about an external organ?

OSU didn’t win by double digits…? Lol. And this is ridiculous logic, as transitive property stuff never works in sports. It will be a close game.
lol

If OSU can beat you in Champaign, Iowa certainly can. Although they didn't end up winning by double digits, OSU was up by double digits late in that game after you guys led by 16. Pathetic.

I really hope Wisconsin loses to PU and you win against PSU so that we can spoil your shot at a share of the title.

That would be fun.

I admire your confidence I guess, lmao.

Statically speaking, the 4 seed may not matter much in terms of winning the BTT. Historically only the 1 or 2 seeds have been winning it. 16 of the 21 winners (not counting the 2 that were vacated) were 1 or 2 seeds. Of the other 5 winners: two 3 seeds, one 5 seed, one 6 seed (Iowa 2001), & one 8 seed. The 4 seed is actually bellow .500 as a whole, as is the 5 seed.

There's also the case to be made that an early out is beneficial for more rest for the big dance.

I would like to win this thing again though, and still make the sweet 16. Is that too much to ask? once every 15-20 years, and never in the same year. Really? Is that too much ask??

Contrary to what the announcers said earlier in this NW game, we do not have to win out to get the BTT 4 seed, do we?
