The 'silly season' for FB players - June & July before fall camp starts. Boredom and alcohol, a bad combo for 18–22-year-old men.

Not a good look for a transfer who hasn’t suited up yet, starting out in the doghouse.

How many times do you suppose it is drilled into their heads by the staff?

I guess you don't remember being young.

I'm not giving him a pass for driving drunk, it's stupid and dangerous for all parties. Of course consequences if you get caught as well.

But kids do stupid stuff no matter what their parents and coaches tell them.

You just have to hope kids and the kids around them learn from their mistakes. Best way to learn in life.

Is there like bars and restaurants and night clubs in pleasant Hill now? I know it's been awhile since I moved from Iowa but if I remember right that's a little town headed south of Des Moines like going towards Ottumwa. Not much out there if I remember correctly cornfields and maybe pleasant Hill high School.

Age is not an excuse for doing something so stupid.

The question that no one has EVER been able to answer about getting drunk: "what's the upside?"

Evidently though 99% of them on the team get the message.
