Cade McNamara Ranked #110 out of 119 Qualifying FBS QBs

I hope they do. Still think we see loaded boxes where O-linemen have to take on multiple defenders at the LOS. VERY difficult to establish a run first plan when outnumbered and nobody expects the QB to read and run or complete a pass beyond 15 yards.

McNamara will have to complete passes and avoid sacks so Iowa can force them to adjust.
FIFY...

I prefer a QB who can run. But at least with Nate you had a guy built more like a dump truck (e.g. Ben Rothlisberger) who could take hits in the pocket and plow forward on the QB sneak. He was slow, but he offered more on O than what we've seen in the most recent designated starters.
I prefer a QB who can do anything well. This weekend we will see one who lacks that particular quality.

Cade has seven TOs out of the team's ten. Nice ball security, just like his predecessor, the great Deacon "Turnover" Hill.

One of the greatest Iowa RBs in the last 50 years fumbled once, and he was benched for weeks. (Akrum Wadley, in case you're not sure). KF's statue QBs turn the ball over constantly and they take every damn snap.
Let’s not forget there have been a few WRs with the ‘dropsies’ over the years which never seemingly impacted their PT….
