There is no doubt certain states focus on Greco much more than others. Michigan is doing very well considering they didn't have an entrant in 5 weight classes and only had 4 from 145-285(none between 152-182). Which shows that even a state that does have some focus still has a considerably lower pool of kids than Freestyle!

No shame in Reeves losing to Braxton Amos. He was absolutely dominant and is one of the best Cadets I've seen at that weight.

Trenary looked good. Gave up 2 body lock takedowns to start down 4-0 and then got one of his own and 6 guts to take a 12-4 lead. Finished with a body lock feet to back for 4 points and what looked like a fall but time must have run out before the fall was called. The move was challenged and denied for the additional point to make it a 17-4 final.

Now for Junior Greco in about a half hour! Best week of the year for us fans of the international styles at the HS level!
