If memory serves me correct I think HF opened up against Indiana and the first time we lined up it looked like a normal pro set, then the shift to an empty backfield. I don't remember what the play was but the crowd got real excited in a hurry. We all knew "this is going to be fun". We need that excitement back.
Everyone knows the first play will be dive left
CJ forgets play. Calls TO.
I predict a kick return.
Seriously, though, I know you're asking about our first offensive play from scrimmage. I would like to see us run a play action with Tevaun on a deep corner route with one of the TEs underneath as a secondary option. Give CJ the option of making the pass that's open or just picking up what he can with his feet. My thought is that you take advantage of a defense that's jacked up for a chance to play in a B1G stadium and is likely to try to jump the run.
I didn't get this exactly right, but the first play was pretty close to what I predicted last week. Instead of Tevaun and and a TE, it was Hillyer(?) and Vandeberg. Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but I wanted to puff my chest a bit.
