Can we just admit that Elon doesn't do anything as CEO?

Please, he fired them and roasted them from Cleveland.
There’s literally zero evidence Musk isn’t hands on and conducting business from wherever he is.
In fact, my sons friend at spacex told me that musk had them redo all of the thermal calculations when he insisted that the rocket fins be white.

I doubt that. And I find it very odd that out of all the examples you could have chosen, you picked George Steinbrenner. It doesn’t really matter how he conducted his non Yankees business, but he was historically known for being a hands-on owner.
And he was pretty hands on for the shipping. I had detailed discussion with him once upon a time on a govt contract protest

Ok, ol’ timer, but your argument still doesn’t fit. You intimated that he was a hands-off owner saying he had other pursuits. Both can be true, he was clearly a hands-on, involved owner with the Yankees.
I stuck to the subject matter and basis of this entire thread from the original poster.

I actually did the exact opposite of what you accuse, saying George managed his affairs with the Yankees from afar.

George was never in the same city the day any of his managers were fired….doesn’t mean he wasn’t hands on.

Hence Musk staying at Mara Lago doesn’t mean he’s not hands on with his businesses

I'd be handing out money like Santa Claus if I had $400 billion.

Bigly. :)
Sure, but it’s not like the guy (or others like him) makes no charitable contributions. Consider gates - and ford - and attenders - and Carnegie - and Vanderbilt - and Rockefeller. They just move it to bullshit foundations.

Are the foundations really "bullshit?"

I thought the Gates Foundation was good.

He was there when he hired managers. I’m glad you had a relationship with him, must have been fun.

Foundations that raise 50 million on a gala. But spent 52 million to throw it :).

In fact can we just admit that most CEOs don't do much real work for their companies? Seems like their real jobs are to hoover up money and talk about how great they are while shitting all over their workers.
You might want to consider sticking to topics for which you have a modicum of knowledge. CEO's do more work than 90% of their employees, a different kind of work to be sure, but being a CEO is not an easy position.

You never rising above union shop foreman, wouldn't have a clue.

What, specifically, do you expect a CEO to do on a daily basis? In my consulting career I've spent a lot of time around C level folks at companies ranging up to multi-billion in annual sales.

Well...this might be your dumbest post ever.
