If a person eats cannabis bud, will he/she get high?

Or is burning the cannabis necessary in order for whatever reaction to happen and it only then gets the user high?

Thank you for educating me on this matter.

If you eat THC (the psychoactive chemical in cannabis) you will get high. I don’t know anyone that eats flower though. Much easier and tasty to eat in in gummy form or baked into brownies, etc.

IMO eating edibles is the safest type of “high” you can have. No lung damage, better on your body than alcohol, no liver damage, no calories from alcohol, no physical addiction, and no one gets in a bar fight high on pot.

*I am aware of the existence of edibles. But those are cooked when they're being made, right?

I'm asking about directly eating plain raw cannabis bud/plant/flower (whatever it's called.)

I think the drinks are even better. You can “take shots” from the cap in case you’re worried about 10mg of edibles being too much.

You are better off putting it directly in your anus.

Unless he is eating the residue out of his pipe or something I have to imagine he is fibbing.
I had a buddy back in college that would always eat the roach after smoking a blunt and claimed it got him wayyyyyy higher.

We all always told him he was eating a roach for the fun of it because it wouldn't get him high. He disagreed and swore by it. He was also an idiot though.

Never tried it, just spitballing on ways OPs friend might have been telling the truth.

Long time ago...I know someone who ate some. And, it definitely worked. They threw up and it was too much for them.
It was not me.

So you found Mrs Stanhope’s stash and mixed it into the Chicken ala King thinking it was wild parsley….this happens all the time. Lock yourself in the house and prepare for a wild ride…..

You can do it but your body absorbs the cannabis better with some fat. I've made weed butter before and it works really well. You don't want to overheat your weed though. Melt the butter. Take off stove and mix in the weed when the butter is still in liquid form.
