Wow. Exciting times ahead. Jok will obviously he missed next year, but this team is going to provide some fun times over the next few season.
this is definitely my concern as well, but the tourney committee's picks aren't always 100% objective. I think that there is a "what have you done for me lately?" factor and IF Iowa can get to 11-7 (with a couple more top 25 wins) then that means they finished pretty strong compared to the slow start. A long way to go, but if these things happen I could see the committee understanding that while Omaha was a terrible loss on paper, it was with a team playing 6 Freshman early in the season still finding their way. Fingers crossed at least.with this team rounding into shape, I would really love a re-do on that Omaha game. I know talking dance is putting the horse before the cart.....but it would really suck if we got to 10-8 or 11-7 in the conference and that Omaha loss kept us out.
Every game is big. But a win in Evanston would validate the PD win as being more where the level of this team really is. We'll see if they're ready for that.Sunday's road game is big for this team.
Correct... got close in Nebraska, time to get over the top in Evanston. Keep upping their game, a little at a time.Haven't been as good on the road - for sure. One more skill they need to master.
True, and the loss to Omaha as well, but its all part of the process, as this team matures. Hopefully as the season goes on they'll take more steps forward then steps back. One things for sure, by tourney time these players will truly not be freshman anymore. They're being forged in the fire now. It good be an interesting BIG tourney for the hawks. Lord knows we're due to have a better showing than the last several years. That Nebraska loss is really going to sting later in the year I think
