I figured it out. Kirk decided to go for two so we'd all forget how bad the coaching was the rest of the game. Take the pressure off of Brian's horrible gameplan and play calling and Phil Parker's inability to stop playing man coverage opposite Jackson in the 3rd quarter until 2 TDs had been scored. Kirk tried to take a bullet for the bad coaching of his coordinators. Heady coaching right there.
