Never again. I have given them a couple second chances in the last 6 months or so but tonight is the last straw. I’ve been up since 11:00. …. I’m serious this time goddamn it!!

So..... what proof do you have that Casey's pizza is the issue? Is it the only thing you've consumed the past week? Or maybe the 10-15 or so pounds of other foods you've consumed this week before eating pizza today? Or maybe it's pizza in general that's the issue.

It was the horrible heartburn and indigestion. The belches that tasted exactly like the pizza I consumed.

So... those of you saying that Casey's pizza has turned to crap, gotten worse etc.

I eat their pizza roughly once a month, and I can tell you with a great deal of certainty that it's the exact same pizza I've eaten for roughly 30 years now.

So, what has changed in your mind? Are the ingredients different? Is the pizza put together differently (sloppily made)? What has changed about the pizza itself?

I'm not at home so I can't verify...but my bet is I've eaten at roughly 6 different Casey's this calendar year...all across eastern and central Iowa.

The pizza was the same each time. Bigger city, small town... didn't matter. Same pizza I've been eating all through the years.

Yes, that can happen.

My point is I don't believe the pizza has changed one bit.

I deal with GERD, and with that ALL pizza can give me issues unless I eat it earlier in the day to where my body has time to digest it thoroughly before bedtime. Also, overeating in general can trigger it too.

Casey’s pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine. Their pizza does vary depending on which Casey’s store you get it from.

I would also recommend trying Kum and Go (now Maverik) pizza. They used to sell small slices that didn’t have much flavor. I stopped in one the other day and was shocked at how much the quality has improved. It’s damn near restaurant quality pizza now and the slices are massive.

Don't think I've ever seen anyone white knight pizza so hard.

I’m not gonna argue your Casey’s pizza experience’s over the years. I’m glad it has continued to be positive. I just know that the quality of my specific hometown Casey’s pizza has continually declined over the years. I guess I will just trust my gut instincts. 😉

Casey's SUCKS!!! Their toppings NEVER stay on when you take a bite, and unless I cover it in Parmesan......I don't care for the taste. Crust sucks too. Give me Dominoes, Happy Joes and local fair any day of the week over Casey's.

I agree. Except Dominoes. I’ve never liked it.

You must be lucky to have a good store near you.

Two I know around here have gotten way worse - cheaper ingredients, lousy crusts - are in LeClaire and on US 67 in Bettendorf. I had the same pooptacular experience as OP the last time I got a pizza at the Bettendorf one. Was my last time ever getting Casey’s as well.

Several accurate comments already.

Got a taco pizza a few weeks ago...no chips, minimal tomato, and the lettuce was so large/leafy that it looked like it was taken off a salad.
Total crap.

This. I like Casey’s pizza. Never had an issue. If your digestive system rejects it stick to dry toast and water….

The breakfast pizza is pretty hard to mess up. It is very solid still. I do think the cook making it can make a difference if their ingredient balance is off. The store I occasionally order a breakfast pizza from for the kids always seems to do a good job on it.

Our local Casey's makes pretty good pizza. I can't see that it's changed over the last 5 years.

Just got done eating a piece of Casey's sausage and gravy breakfast pizza and it was delicious.
Yeah we got a breakfast one last weekend and it was deeelicious

Usually do the breakfast pizza when we have company stay, not usually an issue, but the employees preparing, although super nice, were questionably hygienic. Made me have 2nd thoughts for next time.

Dominoes is trash
Casey's quality varies from store to store.
In general big chain pizza places suck a$$
If i have to choose I would go Toppers, Papa Johns, Marcos, Red Savoy etc....all better than caseys

The breakfast pizza is still pretty good. I’m not touching it for awhile after last night. I might not walk into Casey’s again. There are other options here in the old hometown.

I might order some Great Planes Sauce and Dough Company pizza here in a few minutes, and give them Troy Davis as an order name. I'll just make a lot of stammering sounds.
