This sounds good but we may want to wait and see how they do on the state and national stage for a few years in HS first.

Wrestling began at 7 AM CST this morning with Round of 256 matches. Big tournament.

Cassioppi is seeded number one at Hwt. and will not wrestle until the Round of 32, which will be the fourth round today.

Hidlay is seeded number one at 170 lbs. and will not wrestle until the Round of 64, which will be the third round today.

Flo said that there are now 17 ranked wrestlers at 132 lbs. Quite the tournament.

Yep — kid loves to wrestle and has a phenomenal attitude. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him without a smile on his face. Not only will he help the Hawks win, but he’ll seriously boost the f*** quotient of the Iowa program.

This kid is a beast on the mat. Seems like he is out there for about 5 minutes the entire tourney. Kudos to his parents!!!!

I would have been a bit concerned with burnout / injury / wear down if he had to go the distance every match in those 23 tourneys - God Bless his desire in any case!
