I’m not sure what Vegas thinks, but I’d put us at:

2018 35%
2019 60%

I know a lot of fans don’t respect Ferentz for what he’s done at Iowa, but this may be the best assemblage of likely NFL potential that he’s ever had at his disposal. It’s going to be a fun time to be a Hawk Fan.

What does "NFL potential" have to do with playing in the BIGCCG?

I guess it is a question of whether we can beat Wisconsin and then not slip up against the teams like Purdue, NW, Minnesota etc.

2018 - Pending NFL early entry inquires, Wisconsin's O returns almost completely intact. I believe Northwestern loses a lot of starters. Cross-over schedule is favorable. It's basically Iowa and Wisconsin, IMO, but I don't know that we'll take it away from UW. 40%?

2019 - Skill positions, as a whole, should be the best we've seen in a while. O-line will need to be rebuilt on the interior. Cross-over schedule gets harder. Minnesota, Nebraska, and Purdue should be better, as well. 40%?

Yep, at least we won't have to wait long for the wiscy game.
We have NW and WI at home and an easier east sched than either.
Will be disappointing if we can't take advantage of that!

2019 is the best bet, but might be a little too early for the Ferentz’ 5-6 year cycle of good teams.

I honestly think we take the division one of those 2 years. Our schedule is quite favorable next year so I will go with next year as our best shot.
