Caught up with Charlie Moore this afternoon for a bit of an update on where things stand. Really, not a lot has changed with his recruitment. He said Iowa is recruiting him very hard. Hears from Fran and Sherman Dillard quite a bit and saw them at a lot of his games in July. He said he knows he is their top priority and that certainly helps Iowa.
Has not set up any visits at this point. Kind of taking some time to himself right now after AAU in July. Said he doesn't know when or where he will visit. Iowa still on his list of potential official visits. The rumor from Iowa's perspective if they are hoping to get him on the weekend of the Pitt game. He said he's going to sit down with his parents and figure things out soon.
I asked him about the new interest from UNC and it appears to have some legs to it. He's hearing from the coaches at UNC for two weeks and they are telling him they are interested. No offer at this point and no visit scheduled. Still in the talking stage.
I asked him if he keeps track of the other prospects at PG making visits and scheduling them with schools that are also recruiting him and he said he does and it's hard not to pay attention to that if you are still seriously considering those schools.
Anyway, it's basically a holding pattern right now until he sets up some visits and he doesn't seem to be in a rush right now.
