As a Hawkeye and Chiefs fan, I am very sorry to see this but totally understand. Everyone could see it coming with his large cap hit this year and the ascension of Nick Bolton in 2021. Hitch was a great player for the Chiefs and will have many opportunities with other teams in 2022, albeit at a reduced salary likely. I look forward to seeing where he heads this year. He truly was a leader of the KC defense and they wouldn't have hosted the last 4 AFC Championship games, gone to back to back Super Bowls and won one without him!!!!
