Civilization VII

Early reviews are in and the game is not doing well. From what I'm reading it sounds like they let the accountants in the developing room and they did what the accountants always do and ruined the game. Now, I was skeptical about this game anyway since it sounds like they cloned a lot of Humankind (I'll say cloned and not stole) and I thought that game was mediocre at best anyway. But now the game ends in the 1940's. No information age, no modern military units, no space race, just a screen that says "Victory" and that's it. Obviously the accountants came in there and had the bright idea to release the first 3/4 of the game for $70 and then charge people another $20-$30 to get the last part of it as paid DLC.

Anyway, sounds like I'll be sticking with V or VI, depending on what I'm in the mood for.

I haven't played it yet but I know some people that loved 5, didn't like 6, but are loving 7.

Civ fans are notoriously harsh critics.

I've played all of them and had to take 6 off my phone, too addicting. Can't wait to play 7 and nuke Ghandhi for old times sakes. I'll wait for more reviews and a deep discount.

Civ V was great. Civ IV was a money grab.
