CKLV pre seeds

Gabe Moreno #6 at 149
Lelund Weatherspoon #4 174
How laughable is this?

And tOSU's Bo Jordan to 165. Definitely a positive for the Hawkeyes, one less obstacle for the dangerous Alex Meyer.

8 Ricky Robertson, Wisconsin

Down from 184 last year I believe, he might make some noise.

I don't know if the ISU seeds for the guys you mentioned is laughable. May speak more to the lack of depth at those weights for this tournament. Although, the top of 174 looks tough. Maybe it just says more for our guys as opposed to poor ISU.

Sorry about the technical nightmare.

Tell you what I'll do "Kdezeeuw". If either Moreno or Weatherspoon wrestle to their respective seed, I'll buy you an All-Session package to the Midlands on me. If neither of them wrestler to their respective seed, you buy me a prime rib dinner. Fair enough!

Sorry not a gambler. Although I don't think I'd take that bet even if I was. I don't like how they are wrestling right now. But tell me, who would you seed ahead of either of them?

I was just throwing that out there for fun, lol. Based on what I seen with my eyes on Sunday in Ames, both of these guys have no offense, are terrible from bottom, and more importantly, they have NO GAS TANK. This, in all honesty, may be the WORSE team KJ has fielded since he's been there--they are that bad. I believe its extremely possible they go w/o an AA this season--and that would be embarrassing. Let me look at the field and I'll get back t0o you before the start on friday

Wow BoJo to 165. Never thought he comeback down. Just can't see him besting AD, I thought AD wrestle a very conservative match against him last year.

This move by Bo Jordan really opens 174 and gives Iowa's Meyer a legitimate shot to win the weight class. And for the record, BOJO IS NOT GOING to beat Dieringer. Not a chance.

I'm thinking I might be the only one that actually thinks Jordan can beat him. I wouldn't bet on it but I wouldn't be surprised. The "sure thing" goes down all the time. Sometimes it's during NCAAs and sometimes it's just during the regular season. The next phenom is always coming and that's what Bo Jordan is

Nope, I agree with you. Ringer is a stud but I would love to see the rematch and believe he can be beaten. Time will tell.

1. Love the BoJo move to 165. Can we get Realbuto and Butler to go down as well? Also, I'd like to encourage Retheford, Tsirtsis and Mayes to go 157.

2. Consider the possibility that Moreno and Weatherspoon are actually pretty good, but Sorensen and Meyer are awesome.

Any love for Brewer to 141? ;)

Brandon Sorenson can beat any of those guys, with Retherford posing the greatest challenge. And don't discount Alex Meyer, which I know you haven't, but he's the guy because of his battery (lungs).

Realbuto is staying put. I just read an article about him and Rodrigues (IL) going up multiple weight classes and no longer "cutting" weight. Both raved about being able to eat and perform at a high level.

It's one thing to wrestle up one weight class from a season ago, but "two" weight classes in this case may be asking too much. And Realbuto is no Kyle Dake, although Dake increased a weight class every year over his career (never been done before).

Big sigh of relief seeing Bo Jo move back down to 65. I think he has a very good chance of running the table if he stays at 74. Much respect to him for moving down to make room for his teammate and taking on the pound for pound best wrestler in Dierenger.
Realbuto doesn't scare me one bit. IMO, he's ranked way too high. I think once he faces off against the Meyers, Brunsons, Cruthmers, and Nickals of this weight class, you'll see his stock plummet.

BoJo didn't show anything against AD to make me agree w you. He's a hammer on top, but didn't even come close to turning AD. He showed little from neutral and absolutely nothing from bottom. Team move I get it, kind of.....

Your absolutely right anyone can be beaten!

Jordan Oliver moved up two weight classes and dominated 149 his last year. it does happen.

Why did you reply but not answer his question? Seeding is a little more complex than "well, they looked bad against Iowa, so..."

Bottom line---both guys lack any gas tank. If this tournament were taking place late in the season, then wrestling to their seed may happen. However, that being said, neither guy will wrestle to their seed. The only thing assisting both of these guys is the fact that they won't be dealing with the one-hour weigh-in. Perhaps that might answer WHY their performance was so dreadful against Iowa. Recovery time.
Do you know their criteria for seeding? It appears they are following the current rankings to a "T" and mixing in prior year's results. Seeding is NOT that complex if you know the talent in your tournament. If I'm off with my statement, I'll acknowledge that.

Jordan Oliver moved up two weight classes and dominated 149 his last year. it does happen.

Nice find. Jordan Oliver was a "SPECIAL" talent. My point was that Realbuto or Rodrigues (guys making jump of two weight classes) are not even remotely close to the talent of DAKE or OLIVER. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Mike.

CKLV is TOUGH this year. It may be the new in season tournament #1, followed by the Scuffle with the Midlands seemingly the distant 3rd to me. ASU and their new recruits could bring a breath of fresh air to Midlands, though. It could certainly use it at this point.

Midlands is every bit as tough from an individual standpoint as both. Not as many elite teams but just as many elite wrestlers

I believe I saw on another board that the CK has more ranked wrestlers than the Midlands but I can't say that for sure.

I think CK is probably going to be the toughest this year of the 3. I think Midlands may be ahead of SS if all the teams listed send all their guys along with all the stud post-grads and redshirts in there. Sounds like VT may send some guys to Midlands too.

All 3 look to be great tourneys. andegre your site keeps getting better and better!

I know you are a troll but this still made me laugh. Midlands has the same number of top 10 guys as CK and 4 more than the SS.

They also get a handful of tough non d1 guys, a handfull of tough post grads, and more than a handful of tough redshirts.

Midlands this year could shape up to be the toughest of the 3, which is how it should be.
