Sorry had to get that in there for tOSU crowd.
True story. This would be bad. Hopefully it was precautionary.Lets just hope he isn't hurt too bad.
I can already see the next PBPIf true, Clark who IMHO leads the nation in PD calls, hurts a leg (even if a minor injury) b/c ref doesn't stop it? Kind of a bad deal.
I think Alanis Morissette wrote a song about it...
No joke, it happens all the time to Clark when he's trying to turn guys with the arm bar...I can already see the next PBP
"And Clark gets the td for 2, ref immediately gets ready to blow on the whistle anticipating the potentially dangerous"
I think u answered ur own question. What if CC can't go against NW and IL? Do we ff both matches since neither dual will be close.
Well Illinois is ranked 11th and is no slouch, so I don't think we could put that one in the bag just yet. They have Top Ten guys in Richards (133), IMart (157), Rodriguez (165), Brunson (174), Kopeke is 16th at 184, and Black is 13th at HWT. We're favored on paper, but anything is possible. What if CC can't go against NW and IL? Do we ff both matches since neither dual will be close.
Supposedly Paul Glynn was going to wrestle 133 at Midlands. Not sure what happened or if that is the plan going forward. What if CC can't go against NW and IL? Do we ff both matches since neither dual will be close.
Missed weight. He's redshirting though....Supposedly Paul Glynn was going to wrestle 133 at Midlands. Not sure what happened or if that is the plan going forward.
If he can't wrestle, why not just put redshirt freshman 125 pounder Perez Perez in at 133 he can redshirt next year Gilman and Clark have 125 and 133 next year anyways, he is a 125 pounder so he would go into the match at his walk around weight, he will be able to say he wrestled a dual for Iowa, worst thing happens is he gets pinned which is 6 points just like a forfeit anyways, I hate seeing Forfeits, ESPECIALLY in College, especially at a school known for wrestling (Penn State has forfeited at heavyweight this year) Northwestern has forfeited 3 matches in a dual meet a school not really known for wrestling, but a Big 10 (14) school nonetheless, got to put 10 wrestlers on the mat for all duals, if a school does not have a second string at a weight the coach should walk around campus and find someone at that weight, give him a uniform and send him out there. What if CC can't go against NW and IL? I HATE FORFEITS lol
Maybe Grothus can make it down to 133.We forfeited 97 once

You don't win a national title in March unless you get 141,157,165,and,174 taken care of.M* said in interview that he was fine and we will see him next week. Just precaution pulling him. Don't win a national title in December.

Agree.. Even though Walters has a bad loss from time to time he has been a pretty consistent top 10 guy at 174 the last couple years. Not saying Meyer should get beat as bad as he did, but Walters isn't a slouch.Let's not get carried away. Meyer wasn't sharp this week, but 174 is far from a weight that needs to be "taken care of" -- certainly not even in the same conversation as 141, 157, or 165.
From Coach Brands:
“It’s an injury that is minor,” Brands said. “He made the call. He could have went. The national tournament he’s going, but he made the call. We leave that up to them. We trust our guys. We trust their judgment and I think he’ll be fine going forward.

What do you expect the coach to say? Regardless of the degree of injury, Tom's going to say it's minor and that Clark could've wrestled if it were more important. Midlands is a big tourney so it could be more serious...or not. Guess we'll know more next week.

I think you forgot, he's in the future. But the question is, is he far enough in the future he knows if CC wrestles against illanoy?Damn Col...the glass half empty over there in the land of the rising sun?
Clark is the man - wrestles and comports himself like every wrestler should (win or lose).
Hopefully just a minor thing.
You too man. My boys finally went to sleep so I can surf the boards.Hey Chickenman...Happy New Years brother.
What did you think of the Manville match? He was getting pretty chippy. Got heavily booed by the PA crowd. Not a knock on him because you know we like a bit of attitude around these parts. Have you seen Terry yet? One of the funny parts is that Terry said Tom was only born first because "Terry pushed him out." Thought you might appreciate the humor.
No, I'm just making the point that you can't base the status of an injury on the coach's comments.Damn Col...the glass half empty over there in the land of the rising sun?
