Class

Agreed. I was thinking this had to be lovey's first trip to Kinnick. Wondered what an established football guy like him would think of the visit. He's a class guy and will have that team going in a better direction - leading by example with the idea that there are bigger lessons to be learned than just X's and O's.

Lovie IS a classy guy. Says the right things in interviews and has always conducted himself in a classy way. Liked him when he was a d-coordinator here in STL for the Rams.

Yes I saw it and shared with my fellow bears fans who don't follow the Hawkeyes. Lovie is classy even after his time with bears. I never heard one negative thing from him about management, though the fans covered that for him.

Absolutely. He was a class act here and a secret of the good Rams teams.

By taking them out of their city? Screwed over the fans of the St. Louis Rams.

Technically, the St Louis Rams ranked in the bottom 3 of attendance every year since 2010. I did not look any further back. It's a business...your fans pushed the team away, sorry for the reality check.

The NFL screwed over STL because STL didn't give them billions of dollars in hand outs.

I'm a Chiefs fan... I just thing St. Louis is a better sports down than LA. I get why they moved and I get that it's always about money. Just felt bad for the actual fans in St. Louis.

I wish I had paid attention to the Illinois bench during the wave. I missed it. And I have yet to see the officials waving. I'm always looking at the top floor and the overall fans. Seems to me the fans are waving with more enthusiasm each game.

I love this gesture.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I thought it was very classy by Lovie Smith and the Illinois team to wave at the Children's Hospital along with the fans. I don't know if other teams at kinnick have done it, but I thought it showed a lot of Class by Lovie Smith.

Some of the North Texas players did, but it wasn't an organized thing or anything.
