Clinton has 409 delegates already?

Delegates to the county convention...........who pick the delegates to the state convention..........who pick the delegates to the national convention. Nothing binding. Caucus is stupid.
It would be the same thing if Iowa had a primary. All of this is about parties sending delegates to the conventions, and the delegates do the same thing at national as they do at a caucus.

That's not really any different than a primary. Or the general election for that matter.

What you're seeing here are the "super delegates." Party leaders who get their own convention vote. The Dems stack the deck. This was a big deal 8 years ago. Surprised it has apparently been forgotten.

Aren't these folks classified as "super delegates"? They are Congressmen/women, Governors, Senators and the like who are current office holders. These folks are not obliged to support their State delegations. They can support the candidate they feel the best about. "Super delegates" are not chosen at caucuses pr State conventions.

As a Democrat who has caucused and been a county delegate I have no idea how any of this works.

No, they're the actually sane people who realize she is by far the most qualified candidate for the job, and who are not suffering from Clinton Derangement Syndrome.
I like how being the most qualified matters now but didn't eight years ago.

It's like talking to a toddler...

I always thought of Bernie/Hillary fans as toddlers, because hey, they want a nanny-state.
