Clowns to use pyro and fireworks at their stadium

Likely because there wont be much to watch on the field. Horse and Pony shows are the way to go for programs that absolutely stink. Good move I guess.

I sense a collision between an isu football player and the goal posts coming on again.

Put me down as someone that would greatly appreciate an intense pyrotechnics display at kinnick stadium after a big night win at Nile's house.

No kidding, Could you imagine fireworks every time Iowa scored a TD on Minnesota last year? That would be so awesome.

LC, they don't need to, they're all over here!

Come on, you put that right on the tee for me.
If so, you whiffed, then. Are we giving mulligans? 'Twasn't a Cyclone fan who started this thread.

But to return to the OP......you can put me in the category of those who don't like choreographed pre-game entry crapola, whether it's the "Smoke On The Water" thing under Rhoads or "The Swarm" at SUI.

The OP couldn't be more wrong, what an incredibly lame thread.

Get off my lawn.

The Rhodes thing was a gimmick. The swarm is actually a pretty long standing tradition at Iowa, hardly a gimmick. Nice comparison of apples and dump trucks.

I just checked Cyclone Report. Didn't see any threads about Iowa's pre-game routine. Matter of fact, didn't see any threads about Iowa, period.

You must have missed the "in state rivals" board (im sure you didnt, you just arent mentioning it) where there are threads with page counts into the 20s,30s, 40s and 50s about Iowas recruiting classes, schedule, future games, etc., with literally hundreds of thousands of views, all started by Cyclones fans. Shit, an Iowa football recruiting thread over there, started 8 weeks ago, has 84 pages of posts in it. We dont have an "in state rivals" board here.

Both teams talk about eachother. We're bitter rivals, and get off on making fun of the other team.

You should probably check CF. I'm sure "CyTwins" has made a few at least this morning

Because the game isn't enough?

Not when you are competing with my living room and a better view of that game on my HDTV.

At home I can drink beer and check in on other games on TV and online.

Honestly, getting useable Wifi throughout Kinnick would probably be enough to get me to increase my games attended per season(attending ISU and Purdue games this year).

I'm not holding my breath.

I am guessing that others are not holding theirs. Have fun at home.

That would be a first. Or me guess isu doesn't open camp with an Iowa jersey on a tackling dummy either.

I remember when the swarm started. It absolutely was a gimmick. It is now a gimmick that has become a tradition.
