Canard, properly used, is an excellent word choice.
Saw this earlier. That dude is an idiot. All offended like he had been called a Nazi or something.

Imagine getting so triggered over another person saying what is demonstrably true, that there are boys playing girls sports.

I have no issue with trans people ftr. Dress how you want, name yourself whatever you want, ask people to call you whatever you want, sleep with whoever you want. I have zero issue with that.

BUT, if you were born a dude, you don't get to take away decades of progress in women's sports by competing against them unfairly. No chance in hell I'd let my daughter compete against some of the guys, now girls, I have seen competing across the US.

Okay, I'm not sure why you chose to quote my comment about canard to give your thoughts, but thank you for your perspective.

I really do not understand why some defend so hard the idea of letting human beings born with dićk to compete in women’s sports. I have zero problem with someone’s individual choices, live and let live. But there is a clear biological advantage with sporting events and to deny that and argue for it, loses all credibility in my book.

How do you feel about females who have transitioned to male? Can they play sports as males? Do you know any trans citizens? How many sporting events have you been to in which a trans citizen participated?

For those of you who thought the trans hysteria would end with the election, you are wrong. The bots will keep on churning out content. No group in our society generates more negative coverage relative to its size and lack of political power. They are the perfect punching bag for fear of the other right now.
I just wish that some people would acknowledge that it isn't about "saving the children", and they have no intention of stopping at sports participation by trans citizens.

I have no problem with females who transition to males. They can play sports with males. Yes. None.

I’d be ok with calling current male sports, “open” to any and all, so any female, males, trans can play in the open division if they so please.

They never learn, America has real problems to get solved and whether a man can beat up on a woman in sports isn't nearly at the top of the agenda.

Not true, but, par for the course from you

It’s the anti-Republican stance, so that’s what they go with.

I chuckle every time I see posters here quip about “owning the libs!” As if they don’t dive headfirst into those waters too.

The problem I have with this debate is that half the posts/comments I see about it in opposition to trans-athletes is that they seem to push the idea that men are transitioning to women solely to compete in sports.

Personally, I'd rather this be left to the various sporting organizations - I don't feel this is something that should be a government issue.

Or, we could let the affected parties deal with it. You seem very obsessed over this issue which does not affect you. Maybe you should see someone and talk through your issues. It's unhealthy to obsess like this.
How about losing an election for the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives because you obsessed over ensuring men can pummel women in sports and men can wear dresses. Seems to me someone (Dems) hitched their wagon to a dead horse.

So much ridiculousness! Women can always try to compete in mens sports if they want to. If Caitlin Clark was good enough to play in the NBA she would because the NBA takes the best players. But she’s not close to good enough. There is a reason this is only an issue one way, don’t be so dumb.

Quit dying on the hill of “ they are girls” support bio women in women’s sports. No one wants to take away someone’s freedoms, but playing sports is a privelige, not a right

Republicans don’t even try try to understand what a transgender person, is eff you.
It's also a sign of mental problems to obsess over something that doesn't affect you, or to marginalize a small, relatively powerless group of citizens in a society.
It’s not marginalizing anyone. They choose to transition versus playing sports as their sex

I find it funny that some people believe that ‘trans’ in sports should be a government issue. Let the leagues/conferences decide the rules, same concept as letting states decide about abortion laws.
Leagues can be controlled by a small group. Leagues can have different rules by region. If it’s a small number being affected, why do you care? Isn’t that the argument we get back? It’s such a small number, blah blah

JFC dude, fvcking stop. Defending males competing in women’s sports is beyond absurd. And women competing in men’s sports as a comparison is beyond the previous absurdity.

Politics has made it that way. Cat’s out of the bag now.

It doesn’t seem like this should have anything to do with who the president is. What’s the president have to do with it? The NCAA and NAIA and State high school athletic associations and other sanctioning bodies should adopt rules.

Title IX is federal law. It's absolutely within the government's and president's purview.

The Supreme Court will weigh in soon and this matter will be settled.

Of course leagues can be controlled by a small group...so can legislatures.

And it IS a small group, a relative handful overall.

We often see pushback whenever athletes speak publicly about non-sports issues - "stick to sports". Yet we're good with legislators - many of whom never played organized sports past high school at best, and have only vaguest notion of trans-issues (like most of us if we're being honest)?

So yes, I'd prefer this be handled by the various sporting agencies who have a far better notion of what's going on than we do.

I really don’t care because it doesn’t impact me. But if you can abortion issues to the states, send trans rules to the people being directly impacted, the conferences and leagues.
