I cannot remember Iowa ever having two big muscular PFs like Dembele and Tadjo at the same time. Add Freeman at center, who is also pretty well built. Very Spartanesque. I wonder if it signals an intentional shift in Fran’s strategy.

Owen & Ladji are rebounding machines, which should mean better defense. Tadjo looks to fit the mold as well.

I think he runs them like greyhounds. 2 on 1 with those guys is going to look a lot different than 2 on 1's with Patrick as 1 of the 2

That machine sputtered a little Tuesday with 4 rebounds in 29 minutes between them.

Is it possible Fran might have recognized a failing he has attempted to address before but didn't quite get the right player for a tourny game. He is a good coach and believe he's following his assistants defensive advice. Or just hope.
