IF THE HAWKS GET THERE: Anybody on this board have experience or at least an educated guess on how difficult it is to get half way decent sideline seats if wait til the last minute - and the cost. I don't even know if the place generally sells out for this game. Don't care much to make the trip and sit in the end zone. If Ohio State wins the East, my thought is that their fans, or at least those on a budget, may be of the mindset that they have bigger fish to fry in the playoffs, even though Columbus is not that far away.

I too would be interested. I have heard that the scalp market is pretty reasonable but who knows.

Season ticket holders were able to put in their orders through the ticket office starting last night. Which I did, bad karma be damned. The application said seats would be between the endzone and 30 yard line, levels 100-400. Much better than what is available on Ticketmaster or StubHub right now, at least for the low price of $80.

Yes, everything I've read is historically no sellout, and easy secondary market. I agree that OSU fans may not turn out so well since they'll assume a CFP semifinal and final are in front of them. MSU fans may be similar if they beat OSU.

That's because we have never made the championship game before.
I agree with this. Most Iowa fans were anticipating 6-8 wins and it was total doom and gloom in January. If Iowa represents the west, I think it sells out with 60-70 percent Iowa fans.

Not if we play Ohio State. We will be the minority. There will be a good chance it will sell out, but Buckeye fans gobble up tickets even more than Hawks - especially since they are so close to Indy. Unfortunately.

Yep, Ohio is right next door. Western Ohio metros of Dayton and Cinn are like driving to Ia City from DesMoines. Columbus 2hr 40m. Eastern Indiana probably has a lot of tOSU fans as well. These people can do the entire trip same day with 1 tank of gas.

Which most of them will probably pay for in Oxy.

fOSU is 3 hours from here and they're ALWAYS here for hoops and FB.

I was there last year and OSU fans outnumbered Wisky fans by at least 3-1 a ton of Buckeye fans

Do NOT buy from teamtix. They ripped hundreds of ppl off a few years ago. Plus they are just selling distressed inventory and you won't know your seats until you pick them up at venue.

Plus why pay a reservation fee thru them plus face value when you can just buy for face or under face elsewhere.

Teamtix is just a scam. They make money on ppl buying reservations for their team to make the champ game. But if your team doesn't make it you are screwed and your reservation money you paid becomes worthless once they are out of the race cuz nobody is going to buy your reservation from you at that point.

Stay away from teamtix!

I don't disagree with you that it could be a ripoff. That said, the reservation fee was only $25 a ticket a couple of week ago and guaranteed a Lower-Lvel Mid-Field Club ticket which are very decent seats (even the small section in the 200 level). Who cares if Iowa doesn't make it and you are out $25?

You have no problem just wiping your ass with 25 bucks? That's a steak dinner.
