Connecticut

I feel basketball is a better game when Fuzz and Bueckers are not playing for the same team together.

Typical idiot response. Feel free to not open threads that you don't care about.

UConn has had a run of very bad luck when it comes to injuries. Also, have to feel bad for Fudd who is a special talent. Basketball is a better game when its best players are playing.
Clark should be the example for people to stay home and make that team better, not flock to some school to create “super teams”. I love when teams like that struggle. Call me an idiot for hating monopolies, but **** them. Hopefully they’re still out in March.

Also I do care about Iowa winning, which is why I opened the thread. Bueckers should be at Minnesota, I don’t know where the rest of their paid for team is from, buts it’s prob not Connecticut.

So Gustafson and logic should’ve played for wisconsin? Your logic is flawed considering how many good out of state players Iowa has benefited from. Btw minnesota is a trash program so kudos for buecker for getting the hell out of dodge going some where else. So should Maddie greenway another big time recruit from the twin cities also stay and play for minnesota or come to Iowa?

He's just saying that he doesn't like a team like Connecticut getting their pick of 5 stars, but instead are more impressed with those 5 stars staying more local (like CC). In that regard, I agree with him.

Gustafson, Logic, and Greenway weren't/are 5 stars.

Point being kids need to go where they want to go. Top teams are going to get the top players. Geno has 8-9-10 championships? Hard program to turn down. We were lucky that Iowa was always somewhat a top 20 team and Clark had a soft spot for the instate team.

Yep, very understandable. But his point was then he doesn't feel sorry for schools like Connecticut when they suffer injury. Feel bad for the athletes, but not for the program. In that regard, I also agree.

Agreed. Sympathy for the players but the program has the pick of the prime recruits yearly. If they can't weather the storm with the talent they get, particularly with the powderpuff conference schedule (conference wins big factor in UCONN's 145 regular season win streak) they have to endure, it's hard to feel sorry.

I'm just thrilled that Lisa Bluder finally seems to be making inroads, especially in the midwest, to getting star power herself. We seem to have our pick of gals in the region. Yes Clark was a big reason but even before that we had really turned the corner.

Hate to say it but they can’t catch a break.
Fudd done for the year with torn ACL.

No link cuz on my phone.
They had pretty much an entire decade where they blew everyone off the court. I feel bad for the injured girls but not the school. They can get over it.
