The question is based on a false premise but I will answer any way. Under normal circumstances I would pick Bernie( I do not believe the county will elect an old Socislist who honeymooned in the USSR) but if the FBI suggests justice indict Hillary I would maybe pick her.Since it's pretty clear none of the motley assortment of GOP candidates has a chance to win, our next President is going to be either Hillary or Bernie. I'm curious which one you would prefer.
That's like asking a patient to choose between 2 different types of terminal cancer.Since it's pretty clear none of the motley assortment of GOP candidates has a chance to win, our next President is going to be either Hillary or Bernie. I'm curious which one you would prefer.
Ridiculous premise, but accepting it for the purpose of this discussion, I think Bernie is preferable. Hillary is a totally dishonest, incompetent person who could do serious damage to this country. Bernie is just a slightly naive leftist who isn't likely to screw things up too badly.Since it's pretty clear none of the motley assortment of GOP candidates has a chance to win, our next President is going to be either Hillary or Bernie. Clinton destroyed the country. Then Obama destroyed it again. Is there anything left to be destroyed?
Bill Clinton had the peace dividend, no wars, the tech rally, cheap oil, strong dollar ....If you liked the 90's you should vote for Hill. If you want the government to freeze up and do nothing, Bernie is a good bet to get little passed.
I was trying to answer like a con. I thought that was the point of this thread.Bill Clinton had the peace dividend, no wars, the tech rally, cheap oil, strong dollar ....
Maybe he would have risen to the challenge if he had faced the problems Bush or Obama had. He's a bright guy, after all. But who knows?
What we got was arguably the best Republican president ever. But he still gave us NAFTA and an end to Glass-Steagall, just to mention a couple of indicators that may suggest we shouldn't be so quick to want more of that.
If you think we'll have a Dem Congress, then Bernie is better because he might get some things done. And they won't be the pro-corporate agenda we'll get from Hillary.
If you think we'll have a GOP Congress, it will be more of the same but, again, better with Bernie, because Hillary will continue the Bill/Barack tendency to cave from time to time.

How do you know? Simple. Look at who is funding her campaign. Her positions are all for sale. Remember Clinton was against NAFTA and for punishing China before he flipped on both. I bet some checks cleared.Well except that ol' Hill has flipped on a few of her positions from the 90's...so who's to say that we would get a repeat?
I also do not accept the premise of the OP's question, but to play along...since Hillary Rodham is THE LAST person on earth that I could see voting for...Bernie it is. Even though I disagree with almost all of his positions, I think he is far more genuine than HRC could ever think of being.
You forget that Bush restored the country after Clinton so then Obama had a chance to destroy it again.

Bernie's a cartoon and Hillary is a hanging curveball. A blind three -legged toothless dog would roll either of them in the general election.
The liberal lie machine is working overtime to protect her, but she could well end up in jail before November; Bernie as the nominee? The GOP couldn't get that lucky.
I like gridlock, so Bernie is my guy.
Someone hasn't been reading the polling that shows him beating all GOP comers comfortably. I hope the Republicans have this mindset in the general.
I would think if Bernie got elected some seats are going back to the left in the House and Senate. I think with the apathy towards Hillary the conservatives maintain the House and Senate or gain.
I have not seen that poll. Please link it. Thank you.Someone hasn't been reading the polling that shows him beating all GOP comers comfortably. I hope the Republicans have this mindset in the general.
Not to mention that the GOP's entire strategy has been geared around taking down Hillary. It would be tough for the Cons to have to scrap all that work and start from scratch with Bernie.Someone hasn't been reading the polling that shows him beating all GOP comers comfortably. Looks like a stomping to me:I have not seen that poll. Please link it. Thank you.
Looks like a stomping to me:
"Against Donald Trump, likely New Hampshire voter choose Sanders 57 percent to 34 percent. Against Ted Cruz, Sanders leads 56 percent to 33 percent. The Vermont senator also leads Republicans Marco Rubio 55 percent to 37 percent, Chris Christie 57 percent to 34 percent, and John Kasich 54 percent to 33 percent."

Hillary would hire Monica back and require Monica blow her too.Bill Clinton was as close to a conservative Democratic president as we are likely to ever see. Hillary is obviously her own person, but I don't think her ideology is that much different than Bill's. She may say things she thinks she needs to say to get the nomination, like all politicians do to some degree. But I suspect she'd govern closer to the middle than the far left. With Bernie, there is no doubt where he'd try to govern from. Taxes, regulation, and entitlements would increase by multiples if he got his way.
Any conservative being true to their ideology would pick Hillary in a heartbeat over Bernie. But when it comes to the Clintons, emotion wins out over logic on the far right.
Also keep in mind that it doesn't really matter which Republican Bernie might face. His message of education, healthcare, and income gaps works well against all of them.
We'll see how long this lasts now that Clinton has shifted to attack mode.Looks like a stomping to me:

See, there you go. What's the worst that could happen? That maybe low wage workers would get a modest raise? That maybe students wouldn't become indentured servants because of excessive loans? That maybe some too-big-to-fail banks wouldn't control the US economy quite as much as they do now?Bernie for sure. He'd fail on all his commie/socialist garbage and he seems to be okay on other issues such as 2d Amendment and national defense. Plus, he isn't a compulsive liar that's married to Bill Clinton.
Thanks. I'd seen a lot of polls, but not that one. I hadn't realized that ANY poll had Kasich leading the GOP field. But in any case, that's limited to New Hampshire, for pity's sake.Looks like a stomping to me:
