Cooper DeJean

He single handily made the Iowa defense what it was last year. He covered up A LOT of mistakes from other players. He's probably the best defensive player to come through Iowa in my lifetime.

BOB SANDERS #1

COOP #2

Bob single handedly won the Colts a super bowl when he showed back up in the playoffs after being injured. No hyperbole.

Marvin Harrison Jr or Jayden Daniel's are likely the top two rookie vote getters, but I imagine CDJ gets a few votes.

Him, Des King, Sanders, and Hyde made a lot of plays fot the Hawkeyes out of the secondary. Him and Des are probably my two favorites only because I wasn't old enough to appreciate Bob as a future legend when he was a Hawkeye.
Coop is probably the best I've seen but damn was Merton Hanks a beast and might ran those two 1A and 1B.

OROY. DROY will be Verse or Mitchell, maybe CDJ sneaks in their if he keeps up the production and making plays like he made on Henry.

As an Eagles fan, I loved the addition of Coop. The tackle on Chase during the Cincinnati game and the way he planted Derek Henry last night, he's been a great addition. Along with Mitchell. That said, I was kind of surprised how many DBs Iowa has in the NFL. Dane Belton, Amani Hooker, Riley Moss, Coop, Des King (is he still playing somewhere?), etc. Seems like we're TEU and DBU

Thanks. Do you see play totals for quarters or halves? He was rotating in an out a bunch in the first half.

Nah, it probably exists somewhere, but the links I found were just total snaps. But he's been a significant part of the defense for awhile. Baltimore's offense with Lamar presents unique challenges, maybe there was something there for why he had been rotating more frequently?

Pretty sure Geno Stone is still a contributor somewhere, and Micah Hyde's career just ended. I think only Josh Jackson ended up being a bit of a bust.

Still a better claim on TEU when you consider most teams only feature 1-2 TEs vs 4-5 DBs.

How old are you? Do you remember Bob Sanders?

The commentators said that Baltimore was playing more big packages to keep Coop on the sidelines. If that’s true, that’s freaking impressive as hell.

CDJ could lock down half the field, Sanders the entire field. Maybe that's due to them playing different positions?
Judging from the differences in the defense this year and the defense last year after he was injured that was easily true for DeJean. Hell, he'd shut down the runs by filling the gaps the linebackers left too.
