Cowherd: "Iowa is like celery" "Nobody hates Iowa, nobody even thinks about them"

I know some are tired of him but I love his rants....and I think it's great that were are being talked about on the national stage.

And the toolbox even contradicted himself. For someone that doesn't even think about Iowa, he sure talks about them a lot.

He even created a song about Iowa to the 1980s song, "Gloria". I couldn't find that on the website though.

I don't listen to or watch sports radio/TV much anymore but awhile back (2008-2009?) Collin Cowherd was a vocal Iowa football proponent on his radio show even though he was a big PAC10 fan. I believe he hosted Ferentz once or twice back then.

Sounds like he has changed his tune on Iowa nowadays. I have to admit that I used to enjoy his rants - if you are on the right side of his diatribes, his shows are pretty humorous.

I also kind of enjoy Cowherd. He makes me laugh. Sometimes he can surprise you with a thoughtful and well-conceived argument. The rest of the time, well...

It's not that easy to prepare for a long and mostly solo show, and it often shows with these types of programs. Repetition rules the day since there is not a lot of time for serious research. He obviously knows how to keep listeners and he knows it does not matter whether they love or hate him.

Also, I think about celery ALL the time. And M&Ms.
