They pressed all game and worked hard on defense to create turnovers, though.Tom Davis teams didn't play great defense either, but at least they could rebound.

Do you play bb? It’s real. But you are correct on the lost. But in combo with poor D skills.I don't really buy this. It's the same sized court! To me, it's not even about perception or spacing, or whatever. We're just absolutely lost on rotations. How can we be so much more confused on the road?
when you can't protect your own rim and teams get offensive rebounds at the rate they do against Iowa they all shoot with more confidence and success...pretty simple actually! Can’t quite figure out why or how this keeps happening year in and year out.
Oh and always being out rebounded. Crazy how it just happens.
Just a lot of untimely bad luck I suppose.
Yet they usually committed as many or more turnovers themselves...They pressed all game and worked hard on defense to create turnovers, though.
Once the opponent solved the press they were shooting layups, but overall they were pretty interesting to watch.Yet they usually committed as many or more turnovers themselves...
Most teams don't shoot 75% from unguarded FT line.Because on a familiar court, most of the shooters can unguarded make 75% plus. In an unfamiliar court, its just different. A shooter uses their senses like radar unconsciously. Depth is different and so on.
You didn’t read what I said. Most teams don't shoot 75% from unguarded FT line.
The stat I see for NBA is around 39% for an unguarded 3pt shot. They don't break it down for home and away, but it is mathematically unlikely that a there is a huge difference like you suggest because 75% at home would require 3% on the road for unguarded 3's to get at a 39% combined average..
I would guess USC might be in the low 40's /high 30's for unguarded 3's with their best guys shooting at home. The fact that they were at 66% is partly bad luck and partly Fran's defense letting guys get into a streak of confidence. Everyone is more confident shooting after they see one go in.. Iowa defense is great at giving easy layups, opens 3's to let confidence streak build.
