Disheartening. Pretty much any loss can send you tumbling. Iowa needs to basically win every series from here on out.

College basketball got rid of it, now we need baseball to do the same. Especially this year, hard to believe Iowa is #1 in B10 in RPI yet a bubble team for postseason as no non-conf. Need the top 4-5 to pull away to build a resume.

More than that. If you lose at home to some of the bottom feeders even once then you’ll drop 20-25 with just that one loss.

They changed it years ago, and on the surface it looked ok. We are seeing major flaws in it now. Before Rutgers, Iowa had won 7/8 yet dropped in the RPI due to one loss to a poor RPI Purdue teak at the time.
