It is simply a case of Clark wearing Black & Gold. If she wore Cardinal & Gold it would be a different story.

Well, Fennelly apparently sold out to the Joens clan years ago to get the kids to ISU.

A friend of mine is very involved in the youth BB program in IC and posts about Iowa women's BBALL often. Mr Joens is a "fríend" of his and the guy always has a negative comment.
It's funny when people tell him to stfu. No idea if he is on Twitter.
That's OK. Now that Iowa fans know his full name, maybe there's a chance to dox the clown(pun intended).

Caitlin almost pulled off a Danny Manning willing her squad all the way to the finals. She’s a transcendent talent and generous, wonderful young lady off the court. And yes, I wish she was wearing Cardinal instead of black, but I marvel at her game.

But it's beyond annoying that everyone these days feels the need hand out GOAT anointments as freely as facemasks during covid. It's completely disrespectful, uninformed, lazy, self-promoting and self-indulgent (as all of the GOATS are somehow current athletes that play in "my generation"), wreckless, weak minded, and wrong.
How in the hell is CC the greatest women's basketball player of all-time when she's not even the best player in the world at this moment?
A respectful and informed conversation about the greatest ever would include many players. Cheryl Miller, Nancy Lieberman-Cline, Cynthia Cooper, Maya Moore, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Even if you're just saying that CC is the best women's college player ever; then have the respect to qualify your statement in that way, rather than calling her the GOAT. She has the potential to perhaps one day be in that conversation. But anyone that would take 2 seconds to utilize their common sense would know that CC is not the best women's basketball player of all-time.

Certainly a thoughtful post eyesofhawk. I'd just say that partly because of the social media age we're in now, that Clark may be making the biggest impact on putting womens basketball in a forefront position thats not been seen previously, and she's being recognized for that monumental accomplishment. Still even that takes a backstage currently to what the womens national soccer team is doing on a worldwide stage in their fight for recognition and equality.
Need more !!!!!’s to take down the hyperbole crowd
