A pastor, a rabbi and a Muslim cleric walk into a bar in Omaha ...

That’s the setup, literally, for a forthcoming “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” segment about the Tri-Faith Initiative, the Omaha-based consortium involving the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths.

Comedy Central was in town last week to film the segment, which is tentatively scheduled to air Feb. 29.

The bar used for the setup is Sean O’Casey’s, 2523 S. 140th Ave. The three religious leaders were filmed walking in.

“I don’t know how we got picked,” said Douglas Frohner, owner of Sean O’Casey’s. “I got a random call from a producer at ‘The Daily Show.’ He told me what he had in mind.”

Comedy Central called the right bar. “I’m a big fan of ‘The Daily Show,’ ” Frohner said.

He isn’t sure whether the camera crew got a shot of the bar’s sign. Regardless, Sean O’Casey’s will host a watch party, although Frohner knows the segment could be moved to a different date, even at the last minute.

“If Donald Trump gives them better material that day, we might get bumped,” he said.

Renata Luczak, Comedy Central’s vice president of communications, confirmed that “Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng filmed a field piece but said its air date “is subject to change due to the topical nature of the show.”

The nonprofit Tri-Faith Initiative is an effort to have Christians, Muslims and Jews represented on a 35-acre site near 132nd and Pacific Streets.

Temple Israel, the first piece, moved into its new synagogue on the campus in 2013. A mosque backed by the American Muslim Institute is expected to open in spring 2017. And Countryside Community Church plans to relocate to the campus in 2018. A shared interfaith center is scheduled to open in 2019.

Vic Gutman, who runs public relations and fundraising for the Tri-Faith Initiative, could say only that “The Daily Show” did interview members of the group for a segment.

“Yes, Comedy Central was here,” he said. “But at their request, we can’t go into any details about what they did.”

We’ll have to wait a bit to hear the punchline.
