Dale Jones out 6 to 8 weeks

Damn. At first I thought he was faking it just so Fran wouldn't get mad at him for committing a foul within 3 seconds of checking in. Was moving it around and squeezing his hand on the bench before they put one length of athletic tape around it. So much for my diagnosis.

Man you gotta feel really bad for anyone that goes through everything he has. One upside is that, if his shot isn't messed up from the injury, he should be able to get his knee in better shape and get into better conditioning. Could be interesting to have a "fresh" player available to us about halfway through big ten play. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of our freshmen hit a wall right about that time.

Is there a term for a "glass jaw" BB player? Man, it sucks for him, hope he is building up for better karma later on for him somehow.

Gotta feel bad for the guy. He'll play again before season ends hopefully.

Has it already been established that he'll get another year of eligibility due to his injury issues? I hope that's the case, he certainly deserves it.

Its just crazy that he will not return until late January and then he will have less than 8 weeks until the season is over

On Dec 5, 2015, Coach Fran announced that Jones would need right knee surgery and would be out the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Last year, he averaged 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in six games, and played a total of 78 minutes.

This year? He has played a grand total of 2 minutes.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I don't remember the play exactly but initially that is what I thought
