This always happens. I manage to get myself to a point apathy after Iowa loses a few games, then games like last week suck me back in. I guess I am a fair weather fan

No. Welcome to Ferentzball 2017. Just when you convince yourself (lie to yourself) that you don't care anymore, last week happens. That's when the what if game can start which will drive you crazy. I have found it's easier just to pull for the kids, win or lose, and whatever happens, happens because you have no control. Go Hawks!
I'm trying to stay super pessimistic, it worked well last week.
I may wet myself tomorrow at kickoff. But it’s okay because I am old. I cannot wait!!! I hope that it’s a great, injury free game.

You can't appreciate the highs without some lows. If you're tO$U the only high is winning a NC. Here we can have several different levels of high in the same year. Knocking off Wisconsin would be one of those. Remember beating them at Barry's last home game, that was awesome.
Last couple football seasons have been like my golf game........pretty frustrated for a lot of it, (offensive struggles) borderline pissed off at times (NDSU, Northwestern), and then stick a 5 iron within 10 feet from 175 out (Michigan, Ohio State). As I walk up, I am thinking about how I can get onto the senior tour in 10 years.

How often do the Hawkeyes get an opportunity to beat two top ten teams in a row? It's a rare opportunity on the table, and I hope they can keep it going. Could really generate momentum for the program. Can't wait.
Agreed hard not to be anxious tomorrow morning is going to be brutal for my sychy I'm glad I'm not alone

It's gonna be a physical fist fight and that is in my opinion the best kind of game to watch. Teams that sort of probably don't like each other but respect each other.

I’m jacked up! Just talked the wife (no pic) into going! Where is the Iowa section at? Will try and get Iowa sideline at least.
This is why the level headed fans on this board tel people to just take the games in stride and enjoy the wins but don’t go crazy with expectations. And those that choose not to remain level headed are suicidal right now
