I don't know much about the "lesbianism cult" that Dakish seems to think exists but if you are going to make a claim like that, then you need to have more than a few anecdotes to back it up. I think it's well known that there are some a-holes in the league and they may happen to be lesbians, but to make sweeping statements like that is stupid. Those people were able to get away with the behaviors that Dakish is claiming happened because nobody gave a shit about the WNBA. If Clark is able to elevate it as much as she has college hoops then those women will find out that the kind of behavior being displayed will not be acceptable and they could eventually find themselves out of the league. At least one would hope that management wouldn't tolerate that BS. But it isn't right to take individual personnel issues and try and turn them into sweeping statements that are not backed up by anything more than anecdotes.

It really is amazing and quite sad that so many are using CC's wonderful accomplishments as a political or social forum for THEIR own agenda. Swoopes, Dakich here. The other day I watched Around the horn on ESPN which I like. Kevin Blackistone said while she's a great player he's really upset with the amount of exposure she's getting, as it relates to many of the past great players, (all black women he noted) and then made the comment that he believes the networks are "pandering" to the masses. Now Tony Reoli the host of the show was pretty surprised by that comment and tried to pin him down on just what he meant by "pandering". Of course he thought better of it and would not ellaborate on his comments. It was pretty obvious that he thought Clark is getting all this attention because she's white. It would seem pretty obvious that IF in fact Clark is growing the game with NEW fans, the larger % would probably be white.
Woke is a revealing term- used as kind of a crutch for the weakest, shallowest minds among us.

Dakich has infinitely more insight to college sports based on both his playing/coaching career as well as what experiences he would have learned from his wifes professional career then your daughters provide.

His analogy of Maher and Tucker is pretty close ...each of them piss off both sides at times but focus mainly on pissing off one side.
She could make 4-5x more playing in Russia...like Greiner and others have in the past.
As long as she doesn't take up recreational drugs and attempt to check them thru airport security she would be fine traveling over there.
Obviously playing in Russia is no longer an option, so really she should just come back for one more year before taking a pay cut to go pro.

I do believe you're serious. That's why I responded. My take from Dakich's bitter tirade is that he and Swoopes would be a match made in heaven. Both sound stupid, racist, obnoxious, and embarrassingly loud.
It's all about race but in a couple ways. If Catilin were black I don't think she nor the record would be getting near the attention it has. If she were black she also wouldn't be getting near the criticism she has from certain parties. Being an exceptional white player is the crux of everything both positive and negative.
