Dakich is to Indiana what Vitale is to Duke. Hyperbole Hyperbole hyperbole on everything Indiana, players and coach. Went on and on about what a great call Crean made with the timeout to try and ice Hayes. Hard to listen to. And as I type this he continues to pontificate about the great Indiana team that is now in OT against an average Wisky team. Just had to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening. Go Hawks.

I would listen to ten games by Dakich before I would sit through one by Vitale.
Vitale is more annoying than Dakich. In fact, I won't listen to him anymore. Whenever Duke is playing well in a game he is calling, he sounds like he is on the verge of a mind-blowing orgasm. "OH OH OH OH OH ...the Dukies baby...OH OH OH OH!" Seriously.
they are both annoying, but Dickie V is a great human being that gives so much to charity and fans in general- follow him on Twitter and you will get a better idea of his character
That's great, but I wasn't questioning his character. My statement was in reference to what my ears are subjected to when he is commentating a game for ESPN. Particularly, when he is calling a Duke game.
This isn't even a little bit accurate. Dakich is among the best in the biz when it comes to color for B1G Basketball. you need to put the woody thing behind you and just listen to games for what they are. Yea, he was wrong about that. let it go.
Don't mean to "vacation drop" but wife and I were in Hawaii a few years ago...hat a chat with the waitress at a nice restaurant where big wheels frequent (not me)...and she said, without a doubt, Dick Vitale is their favorite customer, a generous tipper, kind, polite, respectful, fun to serve, a class act with humbleness. FWIW...in spite of him being a Duke homer...

The Vitale shtick is SOOOO old. Okay, so you yell repetitiously.
I frankly like Dakich. He's quirky. Says some off-the-wall stuff. Some of it hits the mark, some of it doesn't. Might be too rah-rah at times, too negative others (Woody). But he has some strong takes and he's original.

What's weird is I felt he was showing excessive love to Wisky. And excessive criticism of the coaching.
