There are some really good videos out there on Ben McCollum's offense and philosophy, but I am struggling to find much on Devries. Anyone want to help a brother out?

I have watched probably 5+ WVU games and they get up and down the court, shoot threes (especially when young DeVries was healthy and Smalls played 1/2). Aggressive on defense and they rebound. But they suffered two injuries so I could never really get a feel for their overall strategy. One thing I do know that would be a big change was the team toughness. Best I can do, sorry.

I appreciate it!

This would equate to 5+ wins or more over current Iowa strategy.

His offense at UWV avg 68 pts per game. Only had one center listed on the roster who averaged 17 minutes per game & 5pts. Looks to be guard and forward oriented. Just from reading the stat page on ESPN.
UVW?

Thanks for that Dew!👍

I saw a quote from DD on his keys to on-court success...
  1. Take care of the ball
  2. Defensive rebounding
  3. Tough defense
I'm paraphrasing a bit but that's the essence of it.

two things on this strategy.

1. Defense travels
2. Defense wins championships

San Diego St got to the final championship game 2 years ago on defense. Their offense sucked that year & Brian Dutcher couldn't coach offense to save his life.
