Democratic Representative Al Green of Texas called for Trump to be impeached over "ethnic cleansing in Gaza" in a furious rant on the House floor.

"The movement to impeach the president has begun," Green said on the US House floor.

"I rise to announce that I will bring Articles of Impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done."

Well shit. Now i'm going to have to do some historical research to determine whether "dastardly deeds" are more, or less, serious than 'high crimes and misdemeanors". (Like yesterday's post about the trump "obliteration" order, i'm trying to imagine whether "dastardly deeds" would look better in gothic, bold, or both in an official congressional resolution print.)

I think the word "dastardly" is a clue, given FDR's use of the term in his Pearl Harbor request to Congress for a declaration of war. So my estimated starting price point is somewhere around the 1940 defense budget.
